Super Princess Peach

The Darkness

Heather Arbiter

Synopsis

Princess Peach is a refreshing change from old Mario games where the princess is a damsel in distress to be rescued. the original Super Princess Peach has Peach rescuing Mario. Princess Peach is a journey of recovery after a bad breakup. Will the inherent cheer of Mushroom Kingdom be enough to mend the Princess's broken heart?

Features

Peach uses the power of her broken heart to help propel her through places while jumping on enemies or smacking them with her umbrella. She collects energy crystals to recharge her emotions and use her power while hearts can be used to recharge her health. Ever-present coins can provide extra lives on the collection of 100 of them.

Game play should be familiar to fans of the Mario series while the basics are simple enough for new players to easily pick up. Players will enjoy the challenge of timing jumps, figuring out how to get places, and destroying foes.

World

As with the original the world will be full of smiling flowers, clouds and mountains, the overall environment is relatively cheerful.

The world will be divided into 3 areas with 2 puzzle pieces to be found in each. To collect all the puzzle pieces Peach will have to be able to complete the following:

bulletLeap across pits,
bulletGrow a plant with tears,
bulletSuper speed across donut platforms,
bulletPass through one-way platforms,
bulletDestroy breakable blocks,
bulletand avoid running into foes.

The world will feature several different enemies as well as platforms and other obstacles to be navigated through. Scattered throughout the world, Peach will find health and energy items to recharge.

The world will have 2 checkpoints. They are triggered when you reach a certain part of the world. Death after triggering a checkpoint will respawn Peach at the check point unless she has no lives left in which case she will get a game over.
